The main protagonist, Akira Tendo is fed up with his office environment when a sudden zombie apocalypse gives him back his freedom, and he considers it far better than the usual world he was previously living in.

What Happened Previously On Zom 100?

Akira awoke from a terrifying nightmare, only to realize that the ongoing zombie apocalypse meant he didn’t have to go to work. He decided to enjoy himself by sipping on some beer and tidying up his home. While watching a news report on the havoc caused by the zombies, he witnessed a tragic event when the reporter on-screen was attacked and met her demise.

Akira ran out of beer and wanted more, so he decided to go to the nearby store. While climbing down the pipe, he encountered a couple who had miraculously not yet turned into zombies. Akira explained his plan to visit the store, assuring them that he would bring back some supplies for them as well.

At the store, while grabbing some beers, Akira noticed a beautiful girl collecting supplies. He tried to exchange numbers with her, but she refused, reprimanding him for risking his life for something like beer. As Akira faced a group of zombies entering the store, the girl saved him from a crashing truck. He thanked the girl, but she left the store instantly, ignoring him.

Using a motorcycle he found, Akira headed back to the Kosakas’ place, only to learn they were turned into zombies. Feeling disheartened, he returned home and contemplated his life, and stated down all the things he wanted to do before turning into a zombie. The girl he met at the store was seen working out and listening to the emergency broadcast. She made a list of activities to avoid and studied the different types of zombies outside using binoculars. While at home, she also reviewed the footage of the store and wondered about everything that happened back there.
