Some research shows that drivers are adjusting their behavior to cut down on miles. Like, only heading out once a day to visit the store, bank, and run errands. Travelers can also follow this approach by combining multiple activities and errands into one trip.

There’s also some newly launched programs aimed at helping road trippers.
