Realme has announced its first Android-based tablet alongside the Realme 8i and Realme 8s smartphones at its virtual launch event today. Dubbed Realme Pad, it comes with a thin and light chassis and features a pretty comprehensive set of specifications and features that puts it in line with other tablets in its price range.
Realme Pad: Price and availability
Realme Pad comes in both Wi-Fi and LTE variants. The Wi-Fi variant comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and is priced at Rs 13,999. The LTE variant is available in two RAM and storage configurations that includes 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 62GB and are priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively. The tablet will be available for purchase starting September 16, noon via Realme.com, Flipkart and other retail partners.
Realme Pad: Competition
At this price point, the Realme Pad is in line with Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, TCL 10 Tab Max and Lenovo Tab M10. All three tablets offer a good set of features and specifications for the asking price.
Realme Pad: Specifications and features
Realme Pad, according to the company, is among the slimmest and lightest tablets in the market. It weighs 440g and is 6.9mm thick. Also, the tablet is built for audio and entertainment lovers.
The Realme Pad features a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ (2000×1200 pixels) resolution with 82.5% screen-to-body ratio. It also comes with several features for eye comfort that includes eye comfort, dark mode, night mode and sunlight mode. In terms of audio, it comes with four-speaker setup and supports adaptive surround sound with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio support.
For performance, the Realme Pad is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 chipset which is an 12nm octa-core processor that comes with Mali-G52 GPU. The processor also comes with HyperEngine technology for optimal gaming performance.
Realme’s latest tablet comes with an 8MP ultra wide-angle front shooter with 105 degree field of view. There’s a dual noise-canceling microphone as well for video calling, taking online classes or taking selfies.
Realme has also integrated Google Kids Space in the Realme Pad that offers a good selection of content curated specifically keeping kids in mind.
Realme is offering seamless connectivity with Realme Pad. It can be used to project content from the Pad to Realme TV or Realme Watch can be used to unlock Realme Pad.
