The iconic playback singer has lent her voice to create hundreds of popular songs that we know and love to date. And guess what? This beloved legend just celebrated her birthday, and that too with a delicious-looking cake!

On 8th September, Asha Bhosle turned 88 years old and she looked radiant throughout her birthday celebration. She reshared an Instagram story that her granddaughter uploaded. In the video, we can see “Asha tai” surrounded by her family and friends as they all sung “Happy Birthday to you” for her. You can see her singing as well as she cuts into a decadent cake. The single-tiered cake was filled with a generous quantity of fruits ranging from pineapples, apples, kiwi and much more and it was covered in vanilla frosting that looked delicious! Many members of her family were tagged in the video and it has the caption “Last cake of the day!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADI”. It seems like the singer celebrated her birthday with more than one cake! If it was up to us, we would have loved to have a slice of each cake, because one can never have enough of cake, right?

The seasoned singer has won many accolades for her melodious voice, and one of them being Padma Vibushan as well! In 2011, she was even added to the Guinness Book of World Records as the most recorded artist in music history. Her achievements don’t stop there! She is also an entrepreneur and a restauranteur as she has opened a chain of Indian restaurants (Asha’s) all over the UK and the UAE. These restaurants are so popular that none other than Tom Cruise came to eat there!
