Ahad is an indigenous brand born out of a passion for heart-warming fragrances. Bindu Chopra, the founder, was always fascinated by the fragrance of jasmine flowers that her grandfather lovingly wrapped in a white damp cloth and kept under the fan to fill the room with its redolence. Ahad lives up to these memories through its beauty and wellbeing products. 

The Shea butter is pure, rich and thick, just like it should be. You can apply it on the face and the body but works best for moisturising dry elbows and knees. It is an excellent night cream. Use it judiciously if you have oily skin. 

Ahad’s almond cream reduces puffiness under the eyes well, treats dry skin satisfactorily, and softens the creases around stretch marks reasonably well. The soaps are all made in small batches and are handmade. There is the Kaafi (coffee oats) soap, Myra (honey oats), Oudh (Arabian wood), Shabari (strawberry), multani mitti (fuller’s earth), Hariti (green tea) koyla (charcoal) in addition to many more. 

On the downside, the packaging of Ahad products is completely off. The jars come unsealed, there are no labels mentioning the expiration date, ingredients list, ‘how to use’, warning statement, licence information etc.
