Jyoti Gauba, who is all set to feature in the murder mystery Pratiksha that is set to go live on Ullu on October 26, talks about her role

Tell us about your character in the series, Pratiksha?

I am playing Pratiksha’s (Chestha Bhagat) mother. She is a loving and caring mother.

Why did you choose this series?

I chose this series because I liked the concept. This is also the first time that I am working with the OTT platform Ullu.

How is it working with your co-actors in this series?

Working with my co-actors in the series has been a very good experience. I have already worked with Avinash Wadhwan, who plays Pratiksha’s father opposite me in the series. We had done a Rajshri show together four years back. I was very comfortable with him. Talking about Arya Babbar and Chestha Bhagat, they too are wonderful people to work with.

Tell us about your journey across mediums…

I have been in the industry for over 25 years. I have done over 600 TV commercials as the main model. I have been doing television since the past 12 years and have done a couple of movies too.

Has the fear of working during the pandemic eased?

Yes, the fear of working during the pandemic has definitely eased. This was my first assignment post the lockdown period. We were very scared at that time and did not know whether we should really start working or wait, but we really did not know when the wait would end. The fear at that time was at its peak. Right now, it has eased to a great extent.

What are your future projects?

I have just shot for an advertisement with Boman Irani. I have also shot an advertisement with Pankaj Tripathi. Currently, I have a show where I am playing a negative character.

How are you celebrating Diwali this year?

I am going to celebrate Diwali at home with my family. We will not be bursting crackers.
