‘I am a chulbuli girl in real life’, says actress Anupama Solanki

Tell us about your role in Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei.

The name of my character in the show is Rashee Punjwani. In this show, I belong to a very big family. I am a friend of Deepali Pansare, who is a vamp.

What attracted you to this role?

It’s a very rich character. The show is quite unique in terms of the story too.

How much do you relate to your character?

It was difficult to relate to this character because this character has authority and power. I am a chulbuli girl in real life. Not like Rashee.

The pandemic has affected the way we work. Your views?

The pandemic changed everything and now people have more opportunities. People’s mentality also has changed towards work and life.

You have done music videos. What difference do you find in different mediums of entertainment?

In music albums, you have to play with your expressions, and in TV serials, you have to do little melodrama. Movies are realistic. One must work in different mediums. It brings variety in your work.

Content is the king. Your comment?

Yes, that’s true. I totally agree with that. If the subject is weak then you can’t do anything. The TV industry has evolved. A wide variety of content has been explored. Audiences are accepting fresh content.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?

I see myself on television. I have been crazy about TV since my childhood. Audiences love to watch TV soaps.

You are a fitness enthusiast. Who do you think is the fittest actor in Bollywood?

Salman Khan is the most handsome and attractive actor in Bollywood because he is passionate about fitness. I have heard that he never misses his workout. And the best thing is his attitude.
