What’s a new year without new aspirations, hopes and dreams? As 2022 begins, we speak to celebs of the goals realised, targets set for 2022 and if they know a trick or two for keeping their resolutions…
Practise gratitude
For 2021, there were two resolutions. The first was to learn something new every day and the second was to meditate every day. My 2022 resolution is to practise gratitude because I feel a grateful heart is the best antidote to the tough times. We have all struggled though the year. In the face of despair, gratitude has the power to bring hope. I will be practising writing a gratitude journal everyday and give healing energy to my body and the world every morning through meditation. To stick to resolutions, enjoy the process instead of just being concerned about the end goal. I usually make a list of the things that I want to do and then things that are stopping me from getting there and then I make a final list that will help me go past my limitations. — Ishika Taneja, Actor
Work is worship
In 2022, I want to focus on my career completely. It was a hectic 2021 with music videos and travelling post Bigg Boss. With new projects in the pipeline, work is my going to be mainstay! — Jasmin Bhasin, Actor
Bring friends in
My 2022 resolution is to work in a web series. I also want to strike a balance in personal and professional life. Over the years, I have realised that to stick to your resolution, tell your best friends about your resolution. — Sharad Malhotra, Actor
Family first
For 2022, I want a repeat of 2021 – to be happy, healthy and look after my family. On work front I want to get into co-producing and collaborate with new artistes, composers and singers. The only way to stick to a resolution is to work towards it, every single day. — Shiva Dagar, Actor
Staying connected
The lessons I learnt in 2020, I made sure I implemented those in 2021. I remained active. Also, I decided to help people. For 2022 my resolution is to be more connected with the media. — Smriti Kalra, Actor
To say ‘No’
This year I want to read more, write more, less time on social media and most importantly start saying NO to things I’m not sure about. Being an Army kid, it’s in my character to stick to targets that I give myself. As my character SK in Aspirants said “the one with patience, perseverance and dedication will finally win the race”. — Abhilash Thapliyal, Actor
One book a month
Giving my best to my work is my resolution for 2022; also I want to start reading again. I plan to finish at least one book every month. So, by the end of 2022, I would finish 12-15 titles. —Himansh Kohli, Actor
