DXL Big + Tall Announces The Winner of Their Big Model Search Contest

Destination XL Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: DXLG), the leading omni-channel specialty retailer of Big + Tall men’s clothing and shoes, announced the winner of its Big Model Search Contest today.

After over 4,000 entries, Cameron Boyland, of Dallas, TX, was chosen as the winner of The Big Model Search through a public-wide vote.

DXL kicked off The Big Model Search in August to celebrate its guests, their individual style and to showcase the diversity Big + Tall men represent, with the winner being part of an upcoming photo shoot and seasonal campaign.

“We’re so excited to see the overwhelming response and awesome content and photos our Big + Tall guys sent in from around the country for The Big Model Search. They are literally the reason we do what we do every day,” President and CEO Harvey Kanter said. “I want to congratulate Cameron, and want to share and celebrate all of our Big + Tall guests – featuring them on social media, e-mails, and on our photo and video shoots. It’s them, their journey and their life stories that we celebrate and what makes DXL more than a clothing company.”

Kanter is looking forward to featuring more guests who are part of the Big + Tall community and who personify DXL’s mission statement: To empower the Big + Tall man to look good and feel good.

He went on to say that by continuing to showcase more guests of varied sizes, DXL will focus on inclusiveness through individualized and authentic content. With this, DXL is creating an even deeper connection with the Big + Tall community in relevant and meaningful ways, continuing to be a part of a very important societal conversation.

Boyland, who is 6’ 1” and a size 3XL, enjoys sharing his style and hopes to inspire other Big + Tall guys, but admitted that before discovering DXL, shopping was very frustrating for him.

“It was difficult finding clothes that were comfortable, affordable and trendy,” he said.

Though after his first time visiting a DXL store he said he felt excited and relieved that there was a place designed specifically for Big + Tall guys like him, a destination with the largest and often exclusive selection, an unrivaled fit and an experience that fits his expectations.

“I believe the world should know that big guys can be fashionable, too. I have my own sense of style that I share with others,” Cameron said. “This title exemplifies that big guys can also be stylish no matter what size you are.”

In addition to being featured in an upcoming DXL photo shoot and digital campaign, Boyland also won a $1,000 DXL gift card.
