Cyberjaya today is home to many tech giants in various industries, and they’re usually on the lookout to grow their talent pool for expansion across Malaysia.
As we head further into 2023, some of us may be looking to kickstart new careers. Some may choose to stay in the same field, while others would want to transfer their skills to another industry.
Whatever your decision is, if you’re hoping to take on a skilled role at an established company with a global presence, here are 26 tech giants in Cyberjaya who are currently hiring.
Tech giants who have recently opened offices in Cyberjaya
1. Hematogenix
Founded in America, Hematogenix is a global cancer-focused life science company. Its solutions enable medical practitioners to identify the types of specific cancers via biomarkers present in a patient’s samples, such as their blood, bone marrow, or tissue biopsy.
Based on the patient’s cancer biomarkers, the attending physicians provide personalised medicine that best targets the cancer.
Since it serves as a central lab for global clinical trials involving patients all over the world, Hematogenix has four labs: US to cover the Americas, UK for the European market, Shanghai, for the Chinese domestic market, and Cyberjaya for Asia Pacific.
Prior to Hematogenix’s Cyberjaya headquarters, clinical trial samples coming from Asia Pacific had to be sent to its labs in the US or the UK for processing and testing. This resulted in longer logistics and turnaround times.
With its Cyberjaya location being close to KLIA and connected to major highways, samples can arrive much faster, within a 48-hour window or less, enabling quality testing.
Dr Khairul Faizi Khalid, Operations Manager Asia Pacific at Hematogenix also pointed out that they chose Cyberjaya due to its well-planned infrastructure that has a double feeder electricity supply and high-speed Internet access.
“It’s been conducive for our staff to be located here too—there are new residential developments that are serene with less hectic surroundings and traffic compared to other Klang Valley areas,” he added.
Some crucial job roles it’s hoping to fill here include:
- Scientists with PhDs to design, develop, and discover new biomarker testing methods
- Team members who can design and build laboratory kits that are custom-made for the studies Hematogenix handles

2. Siemens Energy
In 1972, the German-founded Siemens Semiconductor Group set up its first factories in Malacca and Penang, with Siemens Electrical Engineering Sdn Bhd getting incorporated about a decade later.
When Siemens announced its Vision 2020+, it planned to spin off its Gas & Power (G&P) part, and that came to be known as the new Siemens Energy.
Now independent, Siemens Energy pursued its own strategies to adapt to the business’ needs, and one strategy is dedicating its efforts to cybersecurity for operational technology (OT).
This culminated in the Managed Detection Response (MDR) OT Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) in Cyberjaya, which commenced operations at the end of 2022. It will bring a projected investment inflow of more than RM10 million in the next two to three years.
Cybersecurity remains a big threat across many tech-reliant industries, and especially in the energy sector, which is critical infrastructure.
After doing an assessment of global locations, and identifying specifically the demands and customer requests in Asia Pacific, Siemens Energy honed in on Malaysia.
Cyberjaya became an attractive choice, in part due to its MSC status, higher level of security in terms of internet connections and energy, as well as it being a central hub for fostering other innovative tech companies.
