Xiaomi may soon launch Redmi 10 series in India, hints company – Times of India

Xiaomi may launch the Redmi 10 series in India soon. This was inferred on the basis of a tweet by the company’s Redmi India’s Twitter account.
The tweet includes the text “Hitting your screens soon” along with a short clip that reads “Redmi Revolution” along with the hashtag “#10on10.”

As the names suggest the Redmi 10 series is expected to be the successor to the Redmi 9 series, which includes Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, Redmi 9i, Redmi 9 Prime, and Redmi 9 Power smartphones in India.
It is unlikely that the company will launch all of the new handsets at the same time in the upcoming Redmi 10 series.
Redmi 9 series timeline
At the time of the Redmi 9 series, the company had first launched the Redmi Prime in India in August last year, after which it launched Redmi 9 in the same month.
These handsets were followed by the launch of Redmi 9A in September 2020 and Redmi 9i in the same month.
The last handset to join the Redmi 9 series was what became the cheapest Xiaomi phone — Redmi 9A.
In related news, Xiaomi arch-rival Realme launched the rival to Redmi 9A last week. Called the Realme C11 (2021). The price of this smartphone is exactly the same as the arch rival Xiaomi’s cheapest phone Redmi 9A.
Realme C11 (2021) specs
The entry-level smartphone offers a huge 6.5-inch HD+ screen of 1600x720p resolution. It also runs on Realme UI Go Edition, based on Android Go. Google Android Go is a slimmed down version of Android OS for smartphones with 2GB or less RAM. Realme C11 (2021) is priced at Rs 6,799.
