Let’s begin at the beginning
With so many games releasing this fall eating up all of my time, I’m sad to admit I haven’t had more than an hour or so to dedicate to Bayonetta 3. After all the kerfuffle over the game in the weeks prior to its release, I’ve been trying to find the time to play it and see just about the ending is pissing so many people off. Turns out, I’ll need to play it asap because Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is coming pretty soon.
Arguably the most surprising announcement of the first hour of The Game Awards (you know, aside from Al Pacino being there), Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will take the Umbra Witch back to the very beginning. Sporting a new art style and camera perspective, players will control Cereza and her first demon Cheshire as they fight faeries and solve puzzles while trying to find her mother.
This is not the direction I thought the character would go in next, but given what I’m looking at the in Bayonetta Origins trailer, it definitely seems like something that is right up my alley. Also, there isn’t a Bayonetta game I haven’t bought yet, so yeah, I’m gonna get it. And dammit, this one needs an art book too.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will release on March 17, 2023, just in time for my 38th birthday.
