NEW DELHI: Veteran Dinesh Karthik was in beast mode on Tuesday as his unbeaten 23-ball 44 powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to their second win of the season.
Coming in at a precarious 87 for 5 situation in a 170 run chase, Karthik walked in and rocked the opposition Rajasthan Royals, stealing a win for his team in a nail-biter.
Karthik put on a match changing 67 run stand with all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed off 33 balls for the sixth wicket and then stitched another match-defining 8-ball 19 run unbeaten stand with Harshal Patel to deliver Bangalore their second win.

The game-changing knock from Karthik earned him the Player of the match award and his team members made Karthik’s and Shahbaz’s efforts were lauded in style.
In a video posted by RCB on their Twitter handle, Karthik’s teammates can be seen singing a special victory song, appreciating Karthik and Shahbaz’s efforts.

Leading from the front in the appreciation gesture was Karthik’s Skipper Faf du Plessis, who can be seen banging an ice box as his teammates, including former skipper Virat Kohli sang a song to celebrate the win, the team and of course the incredible efforts of Karthik and Shahbaz.

RCB are currently at sixth spot on the points table with two wins in 3 matches.
