Spending days and months in space constantly in a closed environment takes a toll on the mental health of the trained astronauts. To diminish the adverse effects, efforts are being made to replicate as much of earth-born organic things as possible on the ISS like colourful veggies. For example, astronauts aboard the ISS have been reported to be growing red and green chile (chili) peppers as they need Vitamin-C rich and spicy foods. Astronauts need such types of foods as their sense of smell and taste gets affected after living for long periods of time in microgravity. The colour, taste and smell of food is said to help them recover. Physical exercises should also help in keeping them focussed and fit.
Needless to say, but we will still say it, the video sure is motivational and those who are fond of lifting heavy weights for fitness will appreciate it. As for the others who keep sidertacking the issue of fitness, it is the matter of whether they are going to follow their workout goals this time. Pesquet has given them another motivation to start anew.
