Vivo is working on a new smartphone lineup which is tipped to launch soon in China. A new phone from the Chinese smartphone maker was recently spotted in the database of the TENAA certification platform with a V2219A model number. Initial speculations claimed that the device will be launched as an X-series smartphone. However, according to a report by GizmoChina, this new handset will be launched as a Y-series device.
The report suggests that the V2219A will be a part of the Vivo Y77 lineup which is expected to include two smartphones — Vivo Y77 5G and Vivo Y77 Pro 5G. The report also adds that it will be the first Y-series phone to support 80W fast charging and might also come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. As per the report, the upcoming device will be launched in China in July and is likely to arrive in two different colour options — Black and White.

The upcoming smartphone is likely to pack up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. The report reveals that storage expansion on the device won’t be possible as the handset doesn’t include a microSD card slot.
Vivo’s upcoming device is expected to house a dual-rear camera setup that will include — a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, the handset is likely to come with an 8MP front snapper.
