vivo: Vivo’s next NEX smartphone is likely to debut with a new name – Times of India

Rumour mill has been abuzz with the leaks and rumours about Vivo’s upcoming smartphone in the Nex series. The company’s latest smartphones under the Nex series are the NEX 4 and NEX 3S and it was earlier expected that the upcoming smartphones are likely to be called NEX 5.
However, a new report has now surfaced that claims Vivo is planning to call the name something else. The report suggests that the upcoming Vivo Nex 5 will be called Vivo X Note.
As of now, not much is known about the smartphone. Also, adding a Note moniker can also mean Vivo might add a stylus support with the smartphone. However, it is just an assumption as of now.
But, the alleged smartphone carries V2170A and has been certified for sale in China. The report also suggests that Vivo might use this name only in the Chinese market and it may launch it as NEX 10 Pro in other regions.
As far as specifications are concerned, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and feature a 7-inch QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display. The smartphone is said to feature quad rear camera setup featuring 50MP + 48MP + 12MP + 8MP Omnivision 5x telephoto sensors.
Although several leaks and rumours have already surfaced about the smartphone, it isn’t clear when Vivo will launch this smartphone in China or in other regions.
