Vidya is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Jalsa. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film features Vidya as a journalist. It also stars Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul and Rohini Hattangadi. Vidya’s character in the film has shades of grey. The film will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting March 18.

Talking about the film, Vidya told PTI on Monday, “It is not just larger-than-life heroes. It is you and me who are being represented on screen. You don’t have to do anything heroic but in your day-to-day life, you can be a hero. We are having that realisation in life and therefore you are seeing that onscreen.”
