Riot Games recently celebrated Valorant’s third anniversary in India via the Bharat Valorant event. The company collabed with PC cafes across India and hosted special events for the fans here from June 2–4.
Bharat Valorant turned out to be a successful event as Riot hosted a series of engaging events for the Indian community which included Valorant tournaments, bootcamps, influencer meet and greets and swag giveaways. The event was held in PC cafes in the following cities: Delhi, Faridabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nashik, Indore, Pune, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Kohima.
Riot completely changed the look and feel of the 12 PC cafes to make them Valorant-themed. This included content hubs, special promotions, cosplay appearances and community tournaments. The swag giveaways hosted at these PC cafes also provided participating players with exclusive Valorant merchandise, such as posters, game codes, keychains and more, along with Valorant-themed mini food stalls. There was a footfall of more than 3,550 players across the 12 PC cafes.
Furthermore, Riot Games organised two bootcamps during Bharat Valorant, one in Mumbai and the other in Bengaluru. These boot camps provided aspiring players with the opportunity to enhance their skills by learning from professional gamers. Renowned Indian esports players and coaches, including members from Orangutan Gaming and GodsReign, led these informative sessions. A select group of 150 fans were invited to participate in these exclusive bootcamps, which also featured meet and greet sessions with 20 influencers at Alpha Zegus’ new studio in Mumbai. Notable personalities such as JimmyGaming, HarshKhelraay, and S8ULSid were among the influencers present.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the three year anniversary of VALORANT with our incredible community in India,” said Arun Rajappa, country manager, India and South Asia, Riot Games. “The gaming and esports ecosystem is experiencing remarkable growth in the country, and we have witnessed a surge in talent, passion, and participation from Indian gamers. Together, we have created a vibrant, inclusive community, and we look forward to bringing more hyperlocal experiences to our players.”
