Smartphone brands have been trying to improve the charging speed in their smartphones offering faster-charging solutions. Currently, Oppo, Xiaomi and other brands offer up to 125W fast charging support in their smartphones.
However, it seems that OnePlus is planning to introduce even faster charging speed in its future smartphones.
Digital Chat Station has reported that the future OnePlus smartphone is likely to come with 150W fast charging.
The tipster hasn’t revealed the exact model number or name of the OnePlus smartphone that’s supposed to come equipped with 150W fast charging support.
Meanwhile, OnePlus currently offers 80W fast charging with its OnePlus 10 Pro, which has been launched in the Chinese market and expected to soon launch in global markets as well.
Another report about another BBK-owned company Realme has surfaced that its upcoming Realme GT Neo 3 will feature a 150W fast charging support. The reports suggest that the smartphone will be able to charge the 4500mAh battery of the phone in around 12 minutes.
The OnePlus smartphone in question here is also expected to feature a dual cell 4500mAh battery, so we can assume to see a similar charging speed with the OnePlus device as well.
Apart from the battery capacity, the rumoured OnePlus smartphone is expected to be powered by the unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. The chipset is expected to arrive next month with a Redmi device.
In terms of features, the Dimensity 8100 chipset is said to feature four Cortex A78 cores and four Cortex A55 cores which are clocked at 2.85GHz and 2.0GHz respectively.
Apart from that, the smartphone is said to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and 50MP camera at the back.
As of now, there’s no word when OnePlus is planning to announce the phone.
