Ubisoft will introduce a new exclusive Assassin’s Creed Mirage edition in collaboration with OWO Haptic Gaming System. This special edition includes not only the game, but also a full-body suit that allows players to physically sense numerous in-game experiences as if they were inside the protagonist, Basim’s own body.
The release date is not yet announced. The price is also unknown, but it’s expected to be at least the same as the original Founder’s Edition OWO suit, which is currently priced at 499 Euros.
The suit description on the website reads: “Using the OWO System, you will be able to feel your precise movements when you take down your targets. But beware! They are out to get you. Don’t let your enemies get too close or you will feel the consequences.”
According to the “sensations” page on the official Owogame website, the suit will allow players to experience more than 30 different in-game sensations. players will feel the impact of axes, daggers, punches, light and heavy wounds, and even gunshots with exit wounds. Various interactions such as grabbing objects and pushing targets of different weights are also programmed into the suit.
Players’ll also be able to feel the wind and the impact of freefalling from a great height, which will likely capture the essence of Assassin’s Creed’s renowned Leap of Faith. The sensations will also be compatible with all versions of the game: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
In a new press release, Fabian Salomon, Lead Producer at Ubisoft Bordeaux says: “By leveraging OWO’s ground-breaking technologies and expertise, we are able to immerse players in the world, sounds and sensations of Assassin’s Creed Mirage in an innovative and enhanced way.”
Same as the original OWO Founder’s Edition, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage OWO Edition comes with an OWO skin, OWO device, charging cable, a storage pouch, the game code, and x20 replacement gel pads. These gel pads are spares for the original pads that are knitted into the suit to send electrical signals and transmit different sensations to the player’s body.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled to launch on the aforementioned platforms on October 12 this year, and will be available on Ubisoft’s subscription service Ubisoft+ from day one.
