NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two Mid-South Conference teams are mentioned in the fourth NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Wednesday.
Cumberlands (Ky.) garnered 489 points in the poll to be third. The Patriots are 41-6 this season and won the MSC Baseball regular season title with a 16-4 conference record. Cumberlands is the No. 1 seed in the MSC Baseball Tournament beginning on May 6 in Bowling Green, Ky
Georgetown (Ky.) garnered six points in the poll to be mentioned in the receiving votes section. The Tigers are 30-16 and 14-7 in conference play and are the third seeded in the MSC Baseball Tournament hosting Martin Methodist in the Opening Round.
Tennessee Wesleyan sits atop the poll with 529 points and all 19 first-place votes. Southeastern (Fla.) comes in at No. 2 with 510 points.
Central Methodist (Mo.) and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) round out the top-five with 484 and 446 points, respectively.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and the Association of Independent Institutions.
The final regular season poll is scheduled to come out on May 12.
