Turney, Scott Voted Mid-South Conference Baseball Players of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Cole Turney and Thomas More’s (Ky.) Landen Scott were named Mid-South Conference Baseball Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.

MSC Baseball Player of the Week

Cole Turney – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Jr. – OF – Richmond, Texas

• Turney batted .444 in five games for the Phoenix.
• He had two games where he recorded three hits and two home runs.
• Turney had two home runs and six RBIs in an 20-6 victory over Brescia.
• He also had two home runs and six RBIs in a 14-1 win against Clarke.
• This marks the first weekly honor of the season and first of his career for Turney.

MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Landen Scott – Thomas More (Ky.) – So. – Independence, Ky.

• Scott pitched all seven innings in the Saints 13-0 win over Trinity Christian.
• He allowed just one hit while walking two and striking out 11.
• This marks the first weekly honor of the season and first of his career for Muzzi
