Oatmeal scrub
Your oatmeal breakfast can work for skincare, too. It’s a simple and easily accessible ingredient to exfoliate the skin and free the pores of excess sebum and oil. It is popular in face scrubs as it is suitable for all skin types and has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated or sensitive skin.
Ingredients:
2 tbsps oatmeal
1 tbsp whole milk
1 tbsp olive oil
Rose water as needed
Directions:
Mix whole milk and olive oil
To this, add oatmeal and leave it aside until it softens
After a while, add a few drops of rose water and mix
Apply this mixture to cleansed skin in gentle circles for two to three minutes
Rinse with cold water.
Coffee scrub
Give your face a jolt of caffeine for a radiant and youthful glow. Coffee scrubs has many benefits — it is a natural way to improve blood circulation that can result in tighter skin. It instantly wakes up your face while gently exfoliating. Adding honey and a dairy product like milk or yogurt makes it ultra-moisturising.
Ingredients:
3 tsps freshly ground coffee
½ cup yoghurt or full-fat milk
1 tsp honey
Directions:
Add freshly ground coffee and yoghurt in a blender. Replace the yoghurt with full-fat milk if you have dry skin
Set it aside for five minutes
Once the mix has thickened, add one teaspoon honey. Mix well
Apply the mixture to a clean, dry face and scrub in upward circular motions for 10 minutes
Rinse face with cold water.
Brown sugar scrub
Brown sugar has many beauty benefits as it helps fight bacteria and helps remove dead skin cells without causing surface damage. Coconut oil has anti-ageing properties and honey moisturises dry skin.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsps honey
1 tsp coconut oil
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
Apply it to your face
Gently massage it on your face and allow it to sit for two to three minutes
Rinse off the scrub with lukewarm water.
Rice and honey scrub
Rice and honey scrub is perfect for those with oily skin. While rice is known for its exfoliating and skin brightening properties, honey helps heal and hydrate the skin.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp rice
tbsp honey
Directions:
Grind the rice into a coarse powder
Add enough honey to make it a thick paste
After cleansing your face, apply this scrub evenly onto your face and massage it
Wash it off with lukewarm water.
