Thunderbolts: Harrison Ford Gives a Hilarious Response on His Decision to Join the MCU

Harrison Ford will soon be joining another movie franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as he joins the cast of Marvel’s Thunderbolts film replacing the late William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross.

It’s fair to say that Ford is a man of the franchises. In his illustrious career, the Hollywood star has been part of several iconic franchises starting with Star Wars, where he played Han Solo alongside his trusted aide, Chewbacca.

Soon after, the actor played the ever-famous Indiana Jones in the popular film series created by George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, as a globe-trotting archaeology professor, who has no problem kicking the butts of Nazi soldiers and sympathizers.

However, Ford’s entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as it seemed like he’s done being part of movie franchises. In the previous decade, Han Solo was killed off by his own son Ben Solo aka Kylo Ren, as Ford wasn’t particularly a big fan of prolonging the story of his character.

Similarly, we could also see an end to his run as Indiana Jones in the fifth film of the series titled, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” from director James Mangold.

At the moment, Ford could be seen in the Yellowstone TV show prequel, 1923, alongside Helen Mirren as Dutton Ranch’s patriarch, Jacob Dutton. During a chat on the Yellowstoners podcast, the actor shared his reason for becoming a part of the MCU. He said, “Hey, look, I’ve done a lot of things. I now want to do some of the things I haven’t done.”

And when asked for more details about his involvement in the Thunderbolts film, the Indiana Jones actor kept his mouth mum, and it’s pretty much safe to say that even the great Harrison Ford fears Kevin Feige and his crew of Marvel snipers.

New storyboard reveals the potential addition of characters like Galactus and Iron Man variant in the MCU

In other news, new storyboard from Thor: Love and Thunder revealed the potential inclusion of Marvel big bad Galactus. The storyboard art from Anthony Lee Winn confirmed that Marvel initially had plans to introduce the character alongside other villains like Fin Fang Foom and Shuma-Gorath. In the end, these plans never materialized in the final movie.

While Thor: Love and Thunder could have seen Galactus, storyboard art of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness from artist Soren Bendt suggest that Marvel Studios thought about an Iron Man variant for the Illuminati on Earth-838. But just like Galactus in Thor: Love and Thunder, the studio never went ahead with these plans.
