Thor: Love and Thunder Merch Gives First Glimpse at Christian Bale’s Look as Gorr the God Butcher

Marvel’s second blockbuster of the year in Thor: Love and Thunder is still a mystery to many, as fans wait for the movie’s marketing tour to begin with the release of the first trailer.

However, that hasn’t stopped the movie’s leaks from flowing out, with the most recent ones giving fans a closer look at the characters appearing in the Taika Waititi directed film.

Recently, some merchandise in the form of toys as part of the Marvel Legends series leaked online. The toys revealed the looks of characters like Thor, Mighty Thor, Star-Lord, and Groot.

Along with that, it also gave fans the first proper look at Christian Bale’s villainous turn as Gorr the God Butcher in the fourth installment of the Marvel franchise.

According to the Marvel Legends toy series, Bale will have a pasty white look as the God Butcher, while wielding the Necrosword, which will be used to kill Gods in all the realms.

Other than that, the promotional image on the box showcase Bale’s actual look from the movie, and it differs a lot from the look of the character in the comics.

In the upcoming movie, Gorr seems to be lacking the iconic black robe and the tentacles, which have become synonymous with the character in the comics. Instead, the movie has taken a different route by employing an all-white robe with no tentacles at all.

Fans are in two minds about the character design for Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder, and they might feel the same until they eventually see Christian Bale portray the character in the movie’s trailer, which should hopefully release soon. In the end, most fans are holding their judgement until they see Bale’s performance in the movie.
