This Zelda: Breath of the Wild Lynel kill is both cartoonish and practical

All it needs is exaggerated baby Lynel stars over its head

Strap yourselves in for this Zelda: Breath of the Wild Lynel kill — it doesn’t take very long, and it’s hilarious to boot. Those really are the best kind of Zelda videos: the ones that marry mechanics and silliness.

The clip comes from Twitter user satougashi020, who pulls off this Breath of the Wild Lynel kill with ease. First is the setup: getting a giant rock over near the enemy. Check! I feel like a lot of you out there have made it this far.

Then, quickly snipe them in the head, stasis them in place, and use the magnesis rune to smack them repeatedly. I’m sure a lot of you have done that too, but maybe not with the speed and grace of Bugs Bunny. As satougashi020 mentions themselves: “This strategy has been developed by others and I have only imitated it.”

As myself and our own Eric Van Allen were both thinking: “I can’t believe I didn’t think of it!” I’m absolutely sure that I used rocks as bludgeons multiple times, but I didn’t consider doing it quite like this.

Someone even edited it to include a cartoonish “bonking” noise. If this was the real sound effect for Breath of the Wild 2, I wouldn’t even be mad.
