Cahir actor had auditioned for Geralt of Rivia

Farren recently opened up about losing out on the audition for Geralt of Rivia at the beginning. According to Comic Book Resources, the actor spoke appeared at a panel at MCM London Comic Con, where he revealed how shocked he was on not getting the part.

“I auditioned for Geralt’s role to start with. And I didn’t get that, which was shocking to me. I made my way to this other character that was like a mercenary sort of fighter/killer guy. I sent [the audition] off and didn’t expect anything, and then I got the job and then we ended up in Budapest… It’s been a wild ride.”

Regardless, the final casting could not have been more perfect, as was reflected in the reaction of the fans when Henry Cavill’s exit from the show was announced last year. The Witcher Season 3 Volume 1 released on Netflix on 29th June and is currently streaming on the platform, with Volume 3 set to launch in July. This will mark the final season where Henry Cavill appears as Geralt of Rivia, with Liam Hemsworth taking over the mantle from Season 4.
