The New Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Is Pronounced “Delta”

Konami has revealed the proper way to pronounce the new Metal Gear game. Instead of calling it a remake of Snake Eater, it’s being referred to as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was first shown off during the PlayStation Showcase, and according to a Konami spokesperson, the “delta (“Δ”) was chosen because the meaning that the symbol has fits the concept of the remake project.”

Thanks to the Konami website, we know the upcoming remake will feature the original voice actors. In addition to having great stories, the Metal Gear franchise has always had several A-list voice actors, such as David Hayter, Fred Tatasciore, Josh Keaton, and many more.

There will also be a Master Collection released this fall with Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3. The last time Konami released a Metal Gear Solid bundle was in 2011 with Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Unlike Delta: Snake Eater, the HD Collection featured Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will launch on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
