The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Players Can Now Grab a Free Lizalfos Tail and a Traveler’s Sword

Nintendo periodically gives away freebies to its Switch players via the news channel. This time, players will be able to grab free stuff for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Here are the details of the freebies now available for Tears of the Kingdom.

Nintendo is currently giving away a Lizalfos Tail and a Traveler’s Sword for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It is redeemable from the news section of the Nintendo Switch as a part of the story “Whip Enemies into Shape!”. Nintendo explains that on defeating a Lizalfos, you can often find its tail ready to be picked. You can then fuse it with any weapon to create a whip that you can swing at a foe and retract, allowing you to strike foes from a distance.

Nintendo explains the elemental property of the Lizalfos tail in the game will depend on the type of Lizalfos it belonged to, such as a Fire-Breath or an Electric Lizalfos. As a result, the tail will exhibit its “original elemental property,” enabling players to wield fire, lightning, and other elemental abilities when using it.

The Lizalfos Tail can thus be fused with the free Traveler’s Sword to make a whip. Here’s how you can redeem these items. Head over to the news icon on the Switch Home Menu. Scroll to the story titled “Whip Enemies into Shape!” and tap on play now. As the game loads, you will find the items automatically added to your inventory, as will be notified with the message “Receive a Lizalfos Tail and Traveler’s Sword.”
