After you finish fighting all the bosses within the four main temples in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you may be thankful. After all, Link shouldn’t have to run into them again. However, for those who are willing to work hard, you can find the temple bosses in The Depths. Each boss has 3 locations in The Depths.
These rematches not only allow you to hone your skills but also allow you to obtain some pretty good rewards. Each boss will have a chest that they are guarding. After defeating them, you can obtain Huge Crystallized Charges. These will allow you to max out your Zonai Battery fast.
Updated by Erin Rice on July 5, 2023: As The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom matures, players have found more information about the Temple Bosses in The Depths and how to get them to spawn within their respective areas.
Colgera – The Wind Temple
The fight with this boss is pretty much the same as the Wind Temple fight. The only difference is that Colgera is much stronger this time around.
You must defeat The Wind Temple before Colgera will appear.
Colgera Location 1
Colgera can be found in the northwestern region of The Depths. The closest chasm to this area is the Hyrule Ridge Chasm. This means that you will have a large amount of traveling to do to get to where Colgera is located. The closest Lightroot to Colgera is the Narusis Lightroot.
Colgera Location 2
This area is close to the first one. It is located by the Nupisoyuat Lightroot, corresponding with the Tauyosipun Shrine. The closest chasm is the Hyrule Ridge Chasm as well.
Colgera Location 3
The final location is found next to the South Lomei Depths Labyrinth. The closest Lightroot is the Nikohsi Lightroot, corresponding with the Ishokin Shrine. The closest chasm is the Great Plateau South Chasm.
The bosses at each location will respawn every Blood Moon. You can only obtain their rewards once.
Mucktorok – The Water Temple
Just like with Colgera, Mucktorok’s battle will be pretty similar to the one you had in the Water Temple. The only difference is the strength that he now has compared to what he had when you first fought him.
You must defeat The Water Temple before Mucktorok will appear.
Mucktorok Location 1
Mucktorok is located near the Abandoned Lanayru Mine. The South Akkala Plains Chasm is the closest chasm to this area. You can also use the Uinoj Lightroot, which is the closest Lightroot to the boss. Thankfully, traveling to this boss isn’t nearly as difficult or long as traveling to Colgera’s first two locations.
Mucktorok Location 2
This location is close to the Lost Woods and Korok Forest. The closest Lightroot is the Uoyoyuik Lightroot, corresponding with the Kiuyoyou Shrine. The closest chasm is the Elma Knolls Chasm.
Mucktorok Location 3
The final location of this boss is near the Abandoned Tarrey Town Mine (below Tarrey Town). The closest Lightroot is the Niuzimod Lightroot, however, the Akinatanis Lightroot may be easier to use due to it being the same height as the area.
The bosses at each location will respawn every Blood Moon. You can only obtain their rewards once.
Marbled Gohma – The Fire Temple
Once again, this fight is the same as before from the Fire Temple. Marbled Gohma is just stronger now.
You must defeat The Fire Temple before Marbled Gohma will appear.
Marbled Gohma Location 1
This location isn’t too terribly far away from one of Mucktorok’s locations. The closest chasm to this boss is the Lanayru Wetlands Chasm, located on Mercay Island. You can also use the Uasnoj Lightroot. This Lightroot is directly beneath the Jonsau Shrine.
Marbled Gohma Location 2
This area is a little bit of a walk from any Lightroots. It is located closest to the Muzasu Lightroot. This corresponds with the Usazum Shrine. The closest chasm is the Yiga Clan Hideout Chasm. Unfortunately, this is at a higher elevation than the land around that chasm though.
Marbled Gohma Location 3
This location is extremely close to a chasm. The closest chasm is the East Hill Chasm by Kakariko Village. The closest Lightroot is the Takaruk Lightroot, which corresponds with the Kurakat Shrine.
The bosses at each location will respawn every Blood Moon. You can only obtain their rewards once.
Queen Gibdo – The Lightning Temple
This fight, just like the others, is the same basic fight. The only difference is the difficulty. Unfortunately, being underground does not stop Queen Gibdo from summoning the herds of Gibdo to attack you. This fight will be like the Lightning Temple, only underground.
You must defeat The LightningTemple before Queen Gibdo will appear.
Queen Gibdo Location 1
Queen Gibdo is located extremely close to where you can fight one of the Marbled Gohmas. The closest chasm for this fight is the East Hill Chasm. This is the chasm that is right outside Kakariko Village. You can also use the Korakut Lightroot, which is located directly under the Tukarok Shrine.
Queen Gibdo Location 2
This location is below Washa’s Bluff. The closest Lightroot is the Kawakarut Lightroot, corresponding with the Turakawak Shrine. The closest chasm is the Yiga Clan Hideout Chasm. This is another boss you’ll need to reach a higher elevation for if you use the chasm.
Queen Gibdo Location 3
This final location is close to the last one. It is located closest to the Umamustor Lightroot, corresponding with the Rotsumamu Shrine. The closest chasm is the Yiga Clan Hideout Chasm. Thankfully, this boss is at a lower elevation than the chasm. You can easily glide down to the area.
The bosses at each location will respawn every Blood Moon. You can only obtain their rewards once.
