The Last of Us Part 2 Composer’s Latest Statement Hints Towards ‘New Editions’

The Last of Us: Part 2 was game that enchanted the fans due to the spectacular immersion it provided them. Fans have been aching to try a next-gen version of the title as the game originally released for the PlayStation 4 but has not received the next-gen PS5 treatment yet. That might change however, as one of the latest statements from the game’s composer does hint towards ‘New Editions’ for the game.

Spotted on popular discussion thread, ResetEra, the composer for The Last of Us Part 2, Gustavo Santolalla recently provided some intriguing statements during an interview with BLENDER, which is Spanish Website. During the interview, Santolalla has spoken about his cameo in TLOU Part 2 and how players will be able to make him play certain themes in the ‘new editions’.

Right after this statement, he said that he cannot reveal any more information, but this much was enough of a tease for the whole community to go wild. Players are speculating that the new editions would be PS5 and PC editions for the game, which will take advantage of the better tech, and also provide us with some extra tidbits such as changes to Santolalla’s Cameo.

On the topic of The Last of US, the HBO series has made history, becoming the first live-action adaptation to receive consideration for major awards. Now the fans will just have to wait and see how many awards they can nab from the 24 categories they have been nominated in for at the Emmys.
