The Irregular at Magic High School anime is coming back with a new sequel.
The popular light novel series by Tsutomu Sato has already been adapted into two seasons of anime, and a new project was announced last year. Now, it has been confirmed that this new project is a full sequel anime series that will be released in 2024.
The new anime series will be directed by Jimmy Stone and produced by 8-Bit. Kana Ishida will be in charge of the character designs, and Taku Iwasaki will provide the music for this season as well. Returning cast members include Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba, Yuichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba, and Kiyono Yasuno as Minami Sakurai.
The new anime series will pick up where the second season left off, and will adapt the Crowd arc of the light novels. This arc follows Tatsuya and Miyuki as they investigate a series of mysterious explosions that are happening around Japan.
What is The Irregular at Magic High School about
The Irregular at Magic High School is a popular light novel series that has sold over 22 million copies. The series is set in a world where magic is commonplace, and follows Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba, who are siblings. Miyuki is a gifted magician who is enrolled as a first course student at First High School, while also being in line to lead the Yotsuba clan. Meanwhile, her brother Tatsuya serves as her bodyguard and is enrolled in the second course instead due to his lack of magical abilities. However, he does have skills in combat and technical knowledge, which make him an “irregular” at the magic high school.
