Ahead of its June release, the highly awaited Flash movie starring Ezra Miller was screened at CinemaCon behind closed doors. The Flash will be the final movie of the Synderverse before Peter Safran and James Gunn take over. And as we have seen from the trailers, Flash is going to break the multiverse.
The Flash faced multiple delays due to the controversies surrounding its lead, Ezra Miller. Miller has been alleged with multiple charges on grounds like sexual harassment, assault, and misconduct. There were even speculations of Miller being replaced in the movie with another actor. Regardless, The Flash is now set to release on June 16, 2023, and from the trailers and the first reaction of the audience, it looks like they’ve gone all out.
As Total Film’s editor-in-chief Jane Crowther wrote, “Despite my worry it might be pointless in the wake of Gunn’s announcements it’s a fitting end to this DC chapter. If you wanna get nuts, you’ll get nuts.” Matt Ramos, on the other hand, said, “This is truly one of the best superhero movies ever. Believe the hype. Oh my god.”
This was #theFlash and yeah, despite my worry it might be pointless in the wake of Gunn’s announcements it’s a fitting end to this DC chapter. If you wanna get nuts, you’ll get nuts.

Caught an unfinished cut of #TheFlash and dug it quite a bit! Especially how the narrative challenges Barry to confront who he is, who he could have become, and how one’s influenced by the people in (or not in) their life.
It’s a successful mix of heartfelt coming-of-age… pic.twitter.com/CB7mTDEZXC

Michael Keaton, making his comeback as The Batman, also seems to be a major highlight. Slash Film’s Jenna Busch wrote, “#TheFlash is pretty great, and it makes sense to me now why DC didn’t shelve this one. Michael Keaton is … chef’s kiss. I didn’t realize how much I needed Keaton’s Batman in my life again. Some really emotional moments here. Sasha Calle is awesome – I want to see more of her!”
#TheFlash is fantastic. I know Ezra Miller has made a lot of mistakes but they are soooooo good in this movie. Loved Keaton, the action, humor and emotion. Andy Muschietti has crafted something special. Thumbs way up.
