The Creator: 20th Century Studios Releases the First Trailer for the Upcoming Movie by Rogue One Director

While everybody is going on about AI and its powers these days, a new film exploring its complicated relationship with humans is coming our way. 20th Century Studios has just announced The Creator with its first trailer drop. Check out the details including the plotline, who the creators are, and date of release.

The Creator: Details

The Creator comes from Rogue One and Godzilla director, Gareth Edwards. Tenet star John David Washington stars in the movie as Joshua, an ex-special forces agent. The film is set in a dystopic future, with a war raging between humans and forces of artificial intelligence, and Joshua has been recruited to hunt down The Creator. In the trailer we see an officer explaining that the AI which was created to protect humanity, detonated a nuclear warhead in Los Angeles. Things take a turn when Joshua ultimately locates the AI and finds it to be a child.

Gareth Edwards has worked on the story and screenplay in addition to directing the movie, along with Chris Weitz. 20th Century Studios, New Regency and Entertainment One are producing the film. Alongside John David Washington, The Creator also stars Gemma Chan (Eternals), Ken Watanabe (Inception), Allison Janney (I, Tonya), and Sturgill Simpson (Dog). Madeleine Yuna Voyles portrays the role of the Child.

The Creator is set launch in theatres on September 29, 2023. 20th Century Studios India will be releasing The Creator in Indian theatres on the same day. Check out the trailer of The Creator right here.
