The Boys Spin-Off Gen V Has a Release Date

The Boys’ college-based spin-off series Gen V is premiering on Prime Video this September, so it’s almost time to start enrolling.

Prime Video shared a sneak peek of its upcoming slate, including confirmation that Godolkin University will officially open its doors in September, inviting viewers to explore “the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s top ranking.”

Described as “part college show, part Hunger Games,” Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Shaw, and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity alongside Chance Perdomo, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Marco Pigossi.

The cast will be further bolstered by Clancy Brown, Alexander Calvert, and Jason Ritter, with guest appearances from Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie and P.J. Byrne, who are reprising their roles from The Boys as A-Train, Ashley Barrett and Adam Bourke, respectively.

Some of these cast members will appear on a Gen V panel at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about the upcoming college spinoff for the first time. The hourlong session will hopefully offer more insight into the show and what audiences can expect from it beyond the blood and superpowers on display in its first-look trailer.

As for The Boys Season 4, we’re still awaiting an update on that, as showrunner Eric Kripke tweeted that a release date depends on how long the Hollywood writers’ strike continues but rest assured when it does return, it will continue to push boundaries and have “the most disgusting thing” one producer has ever seen on television.
