We’re just 10 days away from the release of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, and the marketing for the movie has reached fever pitch with the entire cast hyping up the already hyped movie.
After multiple iterations of the Dark Knight in live action, director Matt Reeves is set for a noir, detective-driven flick, featuring Robert Pattinson as the protagonist.
With Pattinson taking over the mantle as a younger Batman following Ben Affleck’s turn in the DCEU, comic book fans are excited about seeing a true detective story come to life with Bruce Wayne at the center in the crime-filled city of Gotham.
Along with that, the movie features some of Bruce Wayne’s most famous allies and villains such as Andy Serkis as Alfred, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Paul Dano, who will play the primary bad guy in the Riddler.
However, that’s not all, as other members of Batman’s Rogue’s Gallery will also make an appearance. This includes John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Colin Farrell, who will play Oswald Cobblepot aka Penguin.
In the trailers so far, fans have seen the massive amount of prosthetics used to transform Farrell into the Penguin, as he’s practically unrecognizable in his new look, even for his kids.
During a recent interview he gave to extratv with John Turturro, the actor talked about his prosthetic-filled look for the movie, and he described how the makeup even scared one of his sons.
Farrell continued saying that he caught the reaction of his son’s horrified face on his iPhone. However, since the actor’s not on any form of social media, fans might never see the hilarious reaction.
Even then, both Batman and fans of the Irish actor would love to see some of his behind-the-scenes transformation to the Penguin when the movie drops on VOD.
