Tecno is all set to expand its Camon series of smartphones with the launch of the new Tecno Camon 19. The Transsion Holdings-owned smartphone brand has announced the date of a global launch event. The company will unveil the upcoming Tecno Camon 19 series on June 14. The new smartphone series is expected to include four different handsets.
The launch event will be held on June 14 in New York City at the iconic Rockefeller Center. This event will mark the company’s first global launch in the US. The company has also claimed that the Camon 19 smartphone series will be a perfect blend of stylish design and cutting-edge technology.
Tecno Camon 19 series expected specifications
Tecno has not yet revealed many details about the upcoming smartphone and key specifications are expected to come out soon.
Moreover, this series is expected to feature RGBW lens technology which was developed in collaboration with Samsung. This technology is likely to improve low-light photography by increasing light sensitivity and decreasing light crosstalk.
The company has also announced that the upcoming Camon19 Pro 5G will be among the first devices to receive the Android 13 beta.
Tecno Phantom X specifications
Last month, the company unveiled its flagship smartphone Tecno Phantom X in India. This new handset is available in two colour options — Summer Sunset and Iceland Blue and carries a price tag of Rs 25,999.
Tecno Phantom X features a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor, backed with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.
This new device features a triple rear camera setup that includes — a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 13MP portrait camera. The handset also boasts a dual front camera setup that includes — a 48MP camera and an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Tecno Phantom X packs a 4700mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
