Tecno Spark 8 has a new variant. The smartphone was launched in September this year with 2GB RAM at Rs 7,999. The company has now launched an upgraded model of the phone with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
Another change that comes with the new model is the processor. Unlike the one launched in September which has MediaTek Helio A25, the new model is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 chipset. Other tweaks include bigger display and thinner form factor. The handset also features a metal coating for the premium feel, the company says.
Price
The new variant of Tecno Spark 8 is priced at Rs 9,299. It will be available in Atlantic Blue, Iris Purple, and Turquoise Cyan colour variants.
Specifications
Tecno Spark 8 has a 6.56-inch HD+ display with 720×1,612 pixels resolution. The screen offers a 20.15:9 aspect ratio, and 480 nits of peak brightness. The handset runs on Android 11 (Go edition) with HiOS v7.6 on top.
It is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. It is also equipped with HyperEngine technology for improved gaming performance.
On the camera front, the handset has a dual camera setup at the back. It offers a 16MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and an AI lens with f/2.0 aperture. For selfies, the phone has an 8MP camera at the front with f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity options available on the phone are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Tecno Spark 8 houses a 5000mAh battery.
