Tecno has launched the Tecno Camon 18 affordable smartphone in India today. The device is the successor to the Tecno Camon 17 smartphone that was launched in the country in July this year. The new Camon 18 is the second smartphone launched by the company this month. The brand has already launched the Tecno Spark 8T with MediaTek chipset and dual-rear camera setup this month in India.
Tecno Camon 18: Price and availability
Tecno Camon 18 is priced at Rs. 14,999 in the country and it will go on sale December 27. The device will be available on all major ecommerce platforms and retail stores. The smartphone will be offered in two colour options – Dusk Grey and Iris Purple. The company is also offering the Tecno Buds 2 TWS earbuds worth Rs 1,999 along with the smartphone.
Tecno Camon 18 specifications
Tecno Camon 18 features a 6.8-inch IPS Full HD+ LCD display. The display has a center-aligned punch-hole and a refresh rate of 90Hz. For security, the device has a fingerprint scanner that is embedded in the power button at the side. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Helio G88 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 11 based HiOS 8.0 out of the box.
When it comes to camera, the Tecno Camon 18 comes with a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48MP primary lens, a 2MP depth lens and a 2MP macro unit. For video calls and selfies, the smartphone gets a 48MP camera at the front. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W charging. At this price, the phone will directly stack against the Infinix Note 11S that went on sale earlier this week.
