SuperGaming has launched a new mobile shooter game called Battle Stars. It is a 4v4 shooter featuring 14 playable heroes at launch. It’s a fast-paced multiplayer shooter with characters and maps inspired by India including a Mumbai-like map with known landmarks from the city.
One of the characters inspired by the Mumbai culture is Patil. SuperGaming described the character as a “policeman that lives to protect good and destroy evil.” The studio will be revealing more playable heroes in the coming weeks.
Battle Stars will also feature Techno Gamerz aka Ujjwal Chaurasia as a playable hero. Techno Gamerz is one of the most popular gaming YouTubers in India.
His character dons a unique weapon and a look inspired by the YouTuber. There’s also the Techno Quest in the game which rewards players with various in-game items and unlocks Techno’s character.
“There’s a massive opportunity in India for high-quality locally-developed games, and Battle Stars capitalises on this by playing to our strength of real-time multiplayer and integrating Techno Gamerz to entertain players in-game as well as being a playable hero,” said Roby John, CEO and co-founder, SuperGaming.
He added, “This allows him to showcase his personality and optimism to his fans in a unique and genuine way by being a crucial part of the game rather than just being a celebrity attached to it.”
Techno Gamerz also delivers personalised video messages during missions and challenges in Battle Stars, as per SuperGaming.
“When SuperGaming showed me how I looked in-game I was super impressed. From subtle animations to my poses and even my mannerisms, there is a lot of care and attention to detail,” said Techno Gamerz.
SuperGaming also announced that topping the Battle Stars leaderboard will reward the player with an in-person meeting with Techno Gamerz. The studio will reveal more information about this event soon.
