Super Bowl LVI 2022: Biggest Movie Trailers to Expect During the Halftime Show

With the Super Bowl LVI airing on 15th February, there’s a lot of hype around what entertainment we’ll see during the Halftime Show. Since this is the final match of the NFL playoffs, we will see the Cincinnati Bengals of the AFC face off against the NFC’s Los Angeles Rams for the Championship title.

The football event will include the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, aka the main event, and is scheduled to feature an amazing performance from Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, in their first public reunion in a very long time.

Super Bowl LVI viewers are in for a huge treat this year as prominent studios vie for attention during the sporting competition’s hyped up commercial breaks.

While the match between the two titans and the Halftime Show will be the main focus, the event will also be filled with new trailers for upcoming movies.

Here’s every movie trailer to expect at 2022’s Super Bowl LVI:

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is one of the most anticipated trailers to expect, with Benedict Cumberbatch’s reprising his role as the former Sorcerer Supreme. The MCU, and Disney, have a long-standing history contributing big, talking-point trailers to the Super Bowl commercial roster, and 2022 isn’t different for them.

Jurassic World: Dominion

One of Universal Studios’ entry for the Super Bowl Halftime is definitely going to be Jurassic World: Dominion, which is set four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and will depict humans and dinosaurs enjoying an uneasy co-existence in modern-day America.

Nope

Little is known to date regarding Nope, whose premise has been kept tightly under wraps, except a stellar cast of Get Out‘s Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun have all been confirmed to star.

Lightyear

Pixar’s strong contender, Lightyear will not follow the tale of Buzz, the Toy Story character, but instead will tell the fictional origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the character who inspired the action figure in the Toy Story franchise.

Top Gun: Maverick

Top Gun: Maverick is set to be released in May 2022, and despite the time that has passed since the original Top Gun (1986), the much-anticipated sequel can do the cult classic justice and conclude its most important storylines. Tom Cruise is reprising his role as the hotshot fighter pilot, Pete Mitchell, aptly identified by the call sign “Maverick.”

Minions: The Rise of Gru

Minions: The Rise of Gru will focus on a 12-year-old Gru (Steve Carrell) living in the suburbs who hatches a dastardly plan to join his favorite supervillain group, The Vicious 6.

The Lost City

Coming in from Paramount, The Lost City’s premise sees a reclusive romance novelist on a book tour fall victim to a kidnapping attempt that lands both herself and her cover model in a jungle adventure. It is expected to be a cutthroat comedy.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is a direct sequel to 2020’s Sonic The Hedgehog and will see Sonic (Ben Schwartz), Knuckles (Idris Elba), and Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) attempt to thwart the evil Doctor Eggman (Jim Carrey) once again.

The Adam Project
