Stocks in the news: Infosys, HDFC, MindTree, Dabur, Tata Power and LTI

Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 38.5 points, or 0.24 per cent lower at 15,934, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Thursday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:


L&T Infotech, Tata Exlsi, ACC:
Larsen & Toubro Infotech, , ACC, Angel One, , , Appliance, , (India) and (India) are among the company that will announce their quarterly earning for the quarter ended June 2022.

Infosys: The IT major said it will acquire Denmark-based BASE life science for about 110 million euros (Rs 875 crore) in an all-cash deal. The acquisition will deepen Infosys’ expertise in life sciences domain as well as strengthen its footprint across Europe.

HDFC: The mortgage major will launch an issue of bonds on a private placement basis on Friday to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore. The secured redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) will bear interest rate at 7.77 per cent, payable annually and has a tenor of 4 years 11 months and 10 days,

Dabur India: The FMCG major through its subsidiaries has acquired the entire stake in Bangladesh-based Asian Consumer Care from its joint venture partner Advanced Chemical Industries for about Rs 51 crore. Dabur held 76 per cent stake in the firm before acquisition through its subsidiary Dabur International.

Mindtree: The midcap IT firm posted over 37 per cent rise in net profit for June quarter as it remained ‘confident’ of growth momentum for fiscal’s first half and cautiously optimistic about the second half. The IT company’s net profit stood at Rs 471.6 crore in April-June quarter, against Rs 343.4 crore in the same period a year ago.


Tata Power:
The Tata Group firm’s arm TP Saurya said it has bagged a 600-MW wind solar hybrid power project in Karnataka from state-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India. The letter was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The project will be commissioned within 24 months from the PPA execution date.

aymond: The leading player in the domestic textiles, apparel, retail and real estate has appointed Atul Singh, former head of Coca-Cola India, as the Executive Vice Chairman. The latest appointment signals a significant step towards creating a future ready organisation that has since inception been closely run by the founders — the Singhania family.


Jubilant Pharmova:
The pharma company’s wholly owned subsidiary Jubilant Pharma Holdings said it has signed an agreement with Standard Chartered Bank for a five-year loan of $400 million, about Rs 3,186 crore. Majority of the amount will be used for repayment of existing term loan and debt bonds.


Tata Metaliks:
The pig iron and DI pipes reported a sharp fall in net profit to Rs 1.22 crore during the June quarter, mainly on account of higher expenses. It had reported a net profit of Rs 94.72 crore in the April-June quarter of financial year 2021-22.


Zydus Wellness:
Pioneer Investment Fund off-loaded 8.07 lakh shares of consumer wellness company for Rs 124 crore through an open market transaction amounting to 1.27 per cent stake in the firm, according to the bulk deal data available with the National Stock Exchange (NSE).


Hindustan Zinc:
The metal miner said the board has approved an interim dividend of Rs 21 per equity share for the financial year 2022-23 amounting to Rs 8,873.17 crore. The record date for payment of interim dividend is July 21.

NHPC: The government has accorded an investment approval for pre-investment activities, implemented by NHPC, for Sawalkot HE project (1856 MW) in Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for an amount of Rs 973 crore at November 2021 price level.

JSW Energy: The electric utilities firm said its subsidiary JSW Neo Energy has bagged a 300 MW wind energy project from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). JSW Neo Energy has received the letter of award (LoA) for a total wind capacity of 300 MW from SECI.

Sanofi India: The pharma company said the board of directors on July 26 will consider declaration of one-time special interim dividend for the year ending December 31, 2022. The record date for interim dividend has been fixed as August 8.

Somany Ceramics: The tile and fitting maker is looking at a 27 per cent growth in revenue to Rs 2,700 crore during the current fiscal even though the industry is passing through a “bad phase” due to rise in natural gas prices. Its turnover was Rs 2,120 crore last year.

Balaji Telefilms: The entertainment company has appointed Abhishek Kumar as the Group Chief Executive Officer. Abhishek moved on from private equity fund Jupiter Capital.

Duroply Industries: About 26 investors, including Porinju Veliyath, and Ashish Chugh, will take stake in the company. The company said its board has approved issuance of up to 10.33 lakh equity shares to one promoter and 25 investors via preferential issue, at a price of Rs 126 per share, and also 11.91 lakh warrants to promoters.
