While Bethesda failed miserably with its previous AAA title in Fallout 76, the American studio is looking to make no mistakes this time around.

In an interview with PCGamesN, Just Purkey Games founder and former Bethesda developer Nate Purkeypile gave some opinions on Starfield’s massive scope, which required over double the number of developers compared to the studio’s previous AAA title in Fallout 76.

With around 1000 planets for players to explore in the fictional Starfield universe, the developers will be looking to go through every nook and cranny with regards to the detail these locations will have.

Moreover, these worlds will shine even more with naturalistic lighting, thanks to ray tracing, which is reportedly a major feature of Starfield. The information about RTX lighting comes from a Reddit post featuring details of the LinkedIn account of a Bethesda developer working on the title.

With ray tracing enabled, Bethesda will be offering the best space exploration experience for players to enjoy on PC and console, and fans can’t wait to eventually hear the much-needed 2023 release date of the upcoming AAA title.
