Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s PC Performance is Reportedly Not Up to the Mark

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases today, and the review’s for the game our already out, scoring pretty decently across most reviewers. Interested players can check out IGN India’s review for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor here.

However, there has been one noticeable issue about the game which has been common for reviewers, and that is the title’s performance on PC. It was recently reported that EA will be delivering weeks worth of patches in order to fix bugs, improve performance and add more accessibility options to the title. The first patch will be released today across all platforms.

The most common issues that players have been facing with the PC port of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are: frame rate drops in double digits, game crashing at times and trouble loading up all assets of the scene. Popular content creator Skill Up has also posted on Twitter the issues he was facing while playing the game.

Skill Up tweeted stating that he will be releasing a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor review in the near future and it is a great game, but he advises players to avoid playing the game on PC, “for now at least.” He has called the PC port of the game a “total mess” mainly because of the “awful FPS performance” which cannot be improved through any of the options available in the settings menu.

Skill Up added that the PC port “struggles to maintain 40 fps on a 2080ti/3700x” and even his 4090/5950x wasn’t able to “maintain a solid 60fps.” Furthermore, he also mentioned a “game breaking audio bug” which is responsible for spoiling almost all cutscene experiences. Lastly, he recommends players to wait till the day 1 patch arrives before starting to play the game on PC.
