Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Reclaims the Weekend Box Office Throne as The Flash Drops by 72%

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has reclaimed the weekend domestic box office throne as The Flash slowed all the way down to third place with a massive 72% drop in its ticket sales from its opening weekend.

As reported by Comscore, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse placed first in its fourth weekend in theaters with a weekend domestic haul of $19.3 million, which was a 29% drop from the week before. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has now crossed $317.05 million domestically and $560 million globally.

Pixar’s Elemental, which opened last weekend alongside The Flash, only saw a 38% drop in North America and earned $18.46 million. The Flash, unfortunately, was only able to secure $15.26 million in North America which, as we mentioned, was a 72% drop from its $55 million debut performance.

For comparison, The Flash’s 72% drop was more than the MCU-worst 69% drop seen by Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in its second weekend. In the realm of DC, The Flash’s drop was also worse than Black Adam’s 59% drop and Shazam: Fury of the Gods’ 69%.

The Flash has brought in $87.64 million in North America and $210.9 million worldwide.

The Jennifer Lawrence-led No Hard Feelings took fourth place in its opening weekend with a North American total of $15.1 million and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts rounded out the top five with $11.6 million.
