Sony is preparing for the arrival of the Xperia 5 IV’s next generation, Sony Xperia 5 V. The announcement of Xperia 5 IV was made in September 2022 wherein the device consisted of a 6.1-inch OLED display, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
A few days ago, the anticipated Xperia 5 V surfaced on the Geekbench. The benchmark listing disclosed that this incoming handset would sport a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and up to 16GB of RAM. Now, the 3C certification in China has given the Sony Xperia 5 V the all-clear signal.

The following Sony Xperia 5 V (XQ-DQ72) will feature 33W fast charging, according to the 3C certification. Just for reference, the forthcoming Xperia 5 IV from the previous year supported 30W quick charging. Regarding the Xperia 5 V’s features, the device is anticipated to have a 6.05-inch display.
Ross Young recently revealed information regarding the upcoming Sony phone’s display size. The smartphone will come equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and will have 16GB of RAM. Android 13 OS will be installed on the Sony Xperia 5 V, according to the Geekbench listing.
