Snapdragon 888: Honor may be working on a phone with Snapdragon 888 chipset – Times of India

Smartphone brand Honor has hinted at using the Snapdragon 888, Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile chipset, in the Honor Magic series of smartphones. The company, in a press statement, said that its upcoming flagship Honor Magic series would “leverage the most premium Qualcomm chipset” for the phone’s image processing capabilities. The Snapdragon 888 happens to be the most powerful mobile processor by the American chip manufacturer. The company also added that it would be using the Snapdragon 778G in the Honor 50 phones.
Currently, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 powers Android flagships like the Samsung S21 series, Xiaomi Mi 11 series, OnePlus 9 series, Vivo X60 Pro Plus, Asus ROG Phone 5, Asus Zenfone 8 etc. With this powerful processor, Honor would like to augment the image processing power of a new phone in the Magic lineup, the latest of which was Honor Magic 2 that came out in 2018.
The company recently announced the availability of its upgraded Honor MagicBook 14 and Honor MagicBook 15 series in the UK, Germany and France. The devices come powered with the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics. The MagicBook series devices can give up to 10.5 hours of battery life, claims Honor. The devices come with Eye Comfort HONOR FullView Display for enhanced eye protection and are supported by the latest Wi-Fi 6 and a 2X2 MIMO dual antenna design for fast wireless transfer speeds. The Honor MagicBook 14 and 15 Series is now available in the UK, Germany and France, the prices starting from 849.90 € (about Rs 75,673).
