A new Sly Cooper is reportedly in the works, and according to reports it will not be developed by Sucker Punch.
After being amidst rumors for weeks now, the next State of Play is finally slated to be held today. The announcement was made on quite short notice, and Sony mentions that the event will be featuring games from their Japanese developers primarily, along with a few games from the other developers as well.

When it comes to the State of Play itself, it will be merely 20 minutes in length. As a result, it is being speculated that there will not be any big announcements that will be coming in the event itself. That being said, we could witness some big titles being showcased, such as the likes of Hogwarts Legacy and God of War Ragnarok.
It has been amidst rumors for a while now that Sony is working on a new Infamous and Sly Cooper game. While fans are eagerly waiting for more information about the same, we have got some interesting details today.
Sly Cooper Will Be Developed By Pixel Opus Not Sucker Punch: Rumor
According to Nick from the XboxEra podcast, Pixel Opus is working on the new Sly Cooper game instead of Sucker Punch. It was previously suggested but other leakers as well that Sucker Punch will not be working on Sly Cooper, and this information further corroborates what was mentioned earlier by the other sources.
Why exactly Pixel Opus is working on the Sly Cooper game is not known. It might be that Sucker Punch is diverting all its resources on working on the next Infamous game. On top of that, recent job listings have suggested that Sucker Punch is working on a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima as well, so that could be something to keep in mind as well.
