Singapore Airlines has opened new flagship lounges at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 after a S$50 million (US$36 million) expansion and upgrade, the company announced Tuesday.
The SilverKris Lounge offers a First Class section available to Solitaire PPS Club members, as well as Suites and First Class customers, with new day rooms that include either a recliner or Tempur-Pedic Zero Gravity bed, a live cooking station, barista-made coffee in the morning and signature cocktails in the evening. The lounge’s Private Room has capacity for 78 Suites and First Class customers.
The Business Class section of the SilverKris Lounge is 20 percent larger than its prior size and offers four seating sections, including a quiet rest area, main dining hall, living room area and courtyard-style area, according to the carrier. It, too, will offer barista-made coffee in the morning and a full-service bar in the evening.
The airline’s new KrisFlyer Gold Lounge is twice the size of its previous footprint, and includes an expanded dining area, open-concept working spaces and shower facilities, according to Singapore.
The SilverKris Lounge’s Private Room and First Class section, along with the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge collectively can accommodate about 1,150 customers, for about 30 percent more seats and space than previously, according to the airline.
