What is the pitch report for SCO vs JER, ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Europe Qualifier, Match 6?
It’s still a batting-friendly wicket despite a low-scoring contest between Austria and Jersey on Thursday. The surface will pick up its pace as the game develops hence bowling first is a preferable option.

Top Pick – Batter
The stage was well set for Richie Berrington against Germany, he came in when Scotland were 115 for 2 and smashed 60 runs at a strike rate of 193.54, comprising 6 fours and 3 sixes.
Top Pick – All-Rounder
Michael Leask gave a fine finishing touch for Scotland with a quick-fire 38* runs against Germany and also picked up a wicket in the only over he bowled.
Top Pick – Bowler
Mark Watt has a smart cricketing brain who did exceedingly well against Germany, picking up 2 wickets at an economy of 4.
Top Pick – Wicketkeeper
Matthew Cross didn’t have the best of outings against Germany as he was dismissed for a run-a-ball 10 runs. Can still consider him as the first-choice wicketkeeper for your fantasy teams.
X-Factor:
Nick Greenwood on his comeback to T20I cricket after a year, produced an excellent all-round show against Austria, scoring 50* runs and claiming 2 wickets.
@cricketinjersey put on a strong display with bat and ball against @OeCV_ACA to get their qualification campaign off to a winning start. ????????

Pre-Match Analysis:
Scotland made the most of the fragile German bowling attack and posted a whopping 234 runs in the stipulated 20 overs thanks to comeback man Oli Hairs and skipper Richie Berrington who struck half-centuries each. The overs got reduced to 11 in the 2nd innings courtesy due to rain and they defended quite easily to complete an easy 72 runs (D/L method) win after their bowlers’ combined efforts. Chris Sole is a big miss for them as the right-arm pacer was ruled out of the competition with an injury. They just need to keep up the consistency going for a spot in the next year’s T20 World Cup.
Jersey made a killer start to their competition with 8 wicket win over Austria. Upfront their bowlers were spot on, reducing Austria to paltry 104 runs and chasing the target with 64 balls still remaining. Nick Greenwood was the star of the show, scoring an unbeaten half-century and even picking up 2 wickets. They can’t afford to make any mistakes as they are facing tournament favorites Scotland.
